This incredible and thorough tour will give you the opportunity, in just a few hours, to see and understand all the most important, impressive, and famous places, monuments and symbols of the city of Rome. There are no queues for tickets nor security checks
Our tour starts from Termini station, where after a short introduction your guide will take you down the bustling street of Via Cavour to see the Esquiline Obelisk, a Egyptian construction over 14m high, and the apse of the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, a stunning Papal church. Shortly thereafter we will arrive in sight of the Colosseum, the largest and most famous amphitheater of ancient Rome.
Traveling down the famous Via dei Fori Imperiali we will see the Roman Forum and the Imperial Forums, where the Roman civilization was born and developed.
Next we will arrive at Piazza Venezia where you can admire the stunning Vittoriano, the largest national monument in Europe built in honor of Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of a unified Italy.
The next stop is the Trevi Fountain, famous for films such as La Dolce Vita and Roman Holiday.
After passing by the temple of Hadrian and admiring the external colonnade, we will visit the Pantheon, taking in the beauty of the exterior of this unique ancient Roman temple. Its dome has inspired many Renaissance and modern constructions.
The next stop on the tour will be the enchanting Piazza Navona, a great example of Roman Baroque, built on the ruins of the ancient arena of Domitian.
Next we will head to the massive Palace of Justice, which is the seat of the Supreme Court, and from there we will cross the Tiber River to admire Castel Sant'Angelo, a papal fortress built as a mausoleum for the emperor Hadrian. Finally we will walk down Via della Conciliazione and arrive at St. Peter's Square, where after an explanation of the Basilica and the Vatican City our tour will end.
